Highlights: Aetna Bridge and AECOM teamed on this extremely successful design build project. The I-295 Bridge Contract 2 is a design/build contract meant to expedite construction at Bridges 736, 737 and 757 located in Johnston, RI. These bridges are within a 2-mile corridor of I-295 North and Southbound. The scope of work included: complete design drawings issued for construction, secure all necessary regulatory permits, utility coordination, demolition of both 736 bridges and replacement with backfill and full-depth pavement, superstructure demolition and replacement of both 737 and 757 bridges, roadway improvements and various substructure repairs.
