This project used Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) techniques to fast-track the replacement of a railroad bridge over an urban city street. Heavy lift construction work included SBMT’s (Self-propelled modular transporters) which were used to move the 250,000 lbs bridge from an offsite location into place during a weekend shutdown. Precast abutment beamseats were also used to accelerate the construction.

Project completed on time and on budget.
