This project required speed and execution to return the bridge to service. This project used Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) techniques to fast-track the replacement of the 85′ long span bridge using precast substructure units and precast bridge units (PBU’s). The project was extremely complex and required careful planning and coordination between labor forces, vendors, and subcontractors working 24 hours per day for several weeks to achieve opening of the bridge well before the required completion date.


Project opened to traffic 9 days early & on budget
